Scannain has written a new article about Brain on Fire. Not much new information, just that it is highly anticipated. Richard also tweeted the article –

Scannain responded to a tweet to say that the film is expected to screen at the Toronto Film Festival in September and should be released in the US soon after that.

Richard tweeted a picture of himself along with Susannah Cahalan, author of Brain on Fire, and her father, Tom, whom Richard will be portraying in the film. He also posted a nice message about the honour of being involved in the film.

Richard shared a deadline article announcing that he and Carrie-Anne Moss have joined the cast of Brain on Fire plus a spotify song influencing his character, Tom Cahalan.

Brain on Fire – Richard’s new role

Richard has tweeted that he’s in Vancouver for filming of his new role in Brain on Fire, the story of a woman with a lost memory. As soon as more details are available, we’ll let you know. It looks like he might be playing ‘Big Man’ – the leading character’s father. According to Variety,


“Brain on Fire” follows a rising journalist at the New York Post who mysteriously starts having seizures and hearing voices. As weeks go by, she moves inexplicably from violence to catatonia — but a last-minute intervention by one doctor finally gives her a diagnosis and hope to rebuild her life.”
