Vote in the Jameson Empire Awards

Richard has been nominated for Best Support Actor for The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug in 2014 The Jameson Empire Awards.  Aidan Turner has also been nominated for Best Male Newcomer, Evangeline Lilly for Best Supporting Actress, Martin Freeman for Best Actor, Peter Jackson for Best Director, and the film for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Best Film.  You can vote for your choices at their site.

Richard confirmed to perform AJ Hartley novel, Hamlet, A Novel

@authorajhartley has just tweeted that Richard has been confirmed to have just finished recording and adaption of Hamlet as a novel, Hamlet, A Novel. Hartley is  a professor of Shakespeare and author of NY Times bestselling novels (according to his Twitter bio).

“As with Macbeth, a Novel, A.J. and David have set out to retell a version of Shakespeare’s story in the style of a period thriller, full of intrigue and excitement, giving Armitage a full cast of characters with which to demonstrate his considerable reach and power as an actor, as well as utilizing the rich musicality of his voice!.”

Anglophile Channel interviewing Richard – update

Replying to a tweet, @AnglpophileTV has tweeted that they will be interviewing Richard within the week. (Thanks to Kerstin) The video will be uploaded in March. They will also be photographing Richard during the interview and try to keep the day of the interview updated with tweets.

 

More information about UK and Mexico editions of Desolation of Smaug

TheOneRing.net has posted more information about the UK and Mexico editions of The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug blu-rays and DVDs.

In the UK, it will be released on April 7 and the editions will be the same as the US:
