Comingsoon.net, IGN and Hitfix have all published their set visit articles today.

Empire Magazine’s Hobbit issue was released today. The Richard/Thorin-related articles are now in our RAC Library. The Richard interview is 4 pages. The article, An Unexpected Trilogy is 14 pages (in 2 parts).

Collider.com and DarkHorizons both published interviews with Richard from their set visits earlier in the year.

Collider.com also published an article ’70 Things to Know about The Hobbit from our set visit’ which includes some interesting tidbits about Richard/Thorin.

In a Collider.com interview, Weta Workshop head Richard Taylor says, “Thorin has been our single greatest challenge, both at a prosthetic design level and an armor costume level.”

The Empire Magazine Hobbit covers have been released today. There are five 3D lenticular covers – Bilbo, Gandalf, Galadriel, Gollum … and Thorin! More about the covers and about the article HERE. The magazine goes on newsstands October 25.

Peter Jackson writes in Empire Magazine that the running time for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be 2 hours 40 minutes. The shortest of all the Middle Earth films so far.

It was also announced that The Hobbit will be shown in the new Dolby Atmos sound system.

According to Comicbookmovie.com, the official UK Hobbit Facebook page has announced that the film will be released in the UK on 13th December, one day earlier than previousl announced. You can see the international release dates at our Hobbit Release Dates page.
